It wasn’t that it was more acceptable in the 90s it’s more it was used more in the 90s and like back in the 50s, 60s, 70s etc people have grown. They’ve learnt it’s a bad word. And like Granny Liza said it’s only since 2010 that the travelling community are now covered by the Equality Act. People need to educate themselves as well as others, it’s not down to just the travelling community to do
