CC members who have had a pet put to sleep, tell me does it get easier? Woke up this morning and burst into tears because I’d realised I’d slept through, my Luna used to come and park herself on me to sleep and wake me up
my arms are aching for her

it does get easier but it takes time, lots and lots of patience and time
I lost my three elder boys during Covid and it near enough broke me.
A quote I read that hit me was “
grief is love with nowhere to go” and that helped me flip my perspective somewhat. Your pain is testament to your love and whilst it hurts immensely and will for some time, I
promise you - you will smile with that same love when looking back at treasured memories 🥹
I often speak out loud to my boys, I tell them I love them, I miss them and I say their names. I also talk to my two young chihuahuas about their angel brothers.
