can someone explain to me what "former mcdonald's unit" on the stevenage tree lighting poster means? I can't figure out what it's referencing and it's driving me nuts....

I took it to mean that the space she’s doing her meet & greet in, used to be a McDonalds. It’ll be funny if it still has the food counter, chairs and booths in there
She doesn’t take him to the fireworks next door let alone NYC… I didn’t really expect her to take him, my comment was more along the lines that I find it weird for her to behave like a single parent for nearly every event/holiday. Most people would have applied for the visa (Turkish people are allowed to visit the US) but of course the beg is too tight and doesn’t want him to come anyway. Also the fact that Ela didn’t even ask about her dad coming just showed she’s used to only going out with her mum and it gives single parent vibes.
