For the little I know chewing can be anxiety and stress but the point is why is he getting hold of things he shouldn’t be chewing? Oh yeah they would be the lazy arses who won’t spend the time redirecting him away from chewing inappropriate and even dangerous items. I can’t believe they are taking the piss out of that poor child
Stimming like chewing helps regulate the proprioceptive system and can help calm down and feel safe. Can't stop stimming however if they are chewing unsafe objects, should probably redirect. Bouncing on trampolines is also good for regulating proprioceptive system. Can also get clothing items, like a weighted vest (bear hug vest I'm sure they were called), shirts to wear underneath clothes that provide proprioceptive input to help. Some of these might help him chew less. But of course the professionals bought M dog chews so I'm sure what I'm saying is absolute nonsense.

She should get him them trampolines with a handle, they’re only small and can go indoors.. since the one outside was just for show..We have had them in every setting I’ve working in for children that have additional needs and the for the kids who just need to burn off energy. She doesn’t want to supervise him so he is just left to wander the house with his baby sitting i pad. Shes a useless t

yeah but I meant it can also mean anxiety and let’s face it, that house isn‘t exactly quiet or calming. Every noise is enhanced because there’s nothing to dampen the sounds

Yeah we had one of them for my son aswell as an outdoor one. He also likes using the cross trainer at the outdoor gym, the pushing and pulling is good for regulating too.

More than likely overstimulated from the noise of her shouting into her phone echoing around that big empty house. The lights are very bright too, I'm one of them big light haters 😂 unless I'm looking for something there is no need for the big light to be on. Also mentioned before all the different smells from all the different products/tat she uses. If he's overstimulated and can't regulate his emotions he will be very stressed. Also boredom unable to burn off excess energy.

Edited @Aitkens Rowie don't know why it didn't reply to your comment there. But totally agree it is probably a lot to do with stress from sensory overload or boredom. Can't stop stimming but should be redirecting for his own safety and at least trying to find ways to help him regulate in other ways again for his safety

The big light being on is offensive and a needs must thing only. Ruins any happiness i have if someone puts it on with no warning. The smells will be too much for him absolutely. And yeah he is completely over stimulated from the noise but he’s under stimulated by bored and not being able to burn off any energy and the lack of fresh air all weekend too. She’s fing useless
