What I don’t understand is her workers apparently visit and tell her how well she’s doing! Do they not notice her personal hygiene has lapsed and the flat is dirty?

I don’t really understand why she has contact with Alfie when he’s been adopted. This whole “open” adoption thing is very odd and will no doubt be very confusing for poor Alfie as he gets older. I doubt he even knows who she is, let alone loving having a shower with her!!!!
