I had to hold my aggressive little dog (on a lead) above my head because some t let his lab run over and jump up on me to get to him. He wouldn't recall his dog because apparently he wanted to make friend. Lad my dog thinks he is Tyson Furey regardless of how friendly your dog is. I went through him for a short cut. My folks used to live near a banged up farm, cows often used to be a feature in the local school playground and streets. He had maybe 3 or 4 Jack russels that would roam the streets and local nature reserves. One day I was walking folks’ dog, and the farm dogs appeared and were trying to go for me, my little sister (who was petrified) and the dog. I screamed at them, tried to intimidate them all the while trying to yank our dog out of their way, and the literally the only thing I could do was kick out until they ran off. We were all in absolute pieces afterwards, and managed to get home with no injuries. But in that moment, it’s like you say, what are you doing to do!
I can be in a big field with my dogs and someone will be walking towards me with their dog.
