It was Heather Judge that stole all the money, I think she had a gamberling problem. He was collected by family, fortunately funeral directors don't keep the ashes if the funeral isn't paid for. So not sure why he hadn't been collected Heather also had his dog and she passed away about 6 months ago.

I didn't know Jay, but I remember keeping up when it all came out about his Ashes not being collected, how can you just forget somebody like that.

I remember watching something not long ago on tiktok about somebody that a funeral home had held for nearly 30 years as it was one of their first cremations they'd done and the state still hadn't found the persons next of kin, they'd kept them all that time in case, but felt it time to let them go in their memorial garden. According to google `In December 2012, the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) published guidelines explaining that unclaimed ashes must be kept and stored for at least five years by a funeral home`

Wow 30 years!! So sad as we all kept saying that while Jay was sat on a shelf he wasn't resting 😞 but 30 years is insane for them to just sit there. My work we used to deal with pets ashes. And it always made me feel sad to see a shelf with them on.
