No, I am not a mental health professional. No, I do not have mental health training. However, based upon my own experience and knowledge gathered due to this -
MadHatter is a deeply damaged individual. She had a traumatic upbringing and that trauma flowed into her adult life through addiction and situations that she has discussed on live. She has Mommy and Daddy issues and is desperate for approval from people she views as Mother/Father figures. She is desperate to be nurtured, cared for and her need for validation overrides her established support system as she needs the new dopamine, the new supply when the stable support becomes stale to her. She hasn't healed her inner child but that damaged inner child is detrimental to those around her, most significantly the children around her. As she is not capable of distancing herself until she has healed the more competent adults in these children's lives need to distance her from them until such a time as she is under long-term therapy and has resolved her childhood trauma and coping mechanisms regarding that.
