Why do these racists always act like people are trying to ban use of specific words entirely? You can say "monkey" (etc), you can call your child/family/friends "monkey", but what you cannot do is call a black/POC (especially if you don't have a familiar relationship with said person) a monkey. It's not that hard. And if anyone, whether you know them or not, tells you that they do not like being called something fing listen to them. It doesn't matter if you don't find it offensive if they do and you want to show them the tiniest iota of respect.
