I have kids around the same age as her niece. One was sat in the car WITH ME parked outside the shop and a drunk man came up and opened the car door on their side. I was quick to reach across and close it before he could utter a word. Now that LITTLE interaction caused my kid to be anxious and freaked out and even now if I run into a shop for 2 seconds they refuse to sit in the car.

There was a tv programme or youtube or something i’ve seen about teaching kids about the dangers of strangers. It’s supervised and they get a stranger to ask their child if they want to come and see some puppies. The parents watched on to see what the kids say. That’s not the same as what she was suggesting
I just find it all so surreal that people have to tell this woman that kidnapping and blindfolding a kid is an unacceptable form of punishment. Like it’s literally fing scary what goes on in her head.

What im struggling to comprehend is how on earth you consider kidnapping your niece to teach her online safety. There are so many other options you could do. You can get phones with inbuilt GPS trackers that can't be disabled, they can also only contact contacts you set. I've bought some for loves ones years ago.

Whoever rang the police, can they find out if her s she’s spouting online is actually true or not? Are the police taking this seriously or are they telling rhino no offences have been committed? If it’s the latter, a police complaint needs to be made
