I've just watched the new one. Bit disappointing tbf.
Tbh he’s taking advice from Jane the vet. She went right off her food and wouldn’t drink, so cakes soaked in water, were the only thing she would eat, which gave her valuable calories and some fluids.

It's 7/8 years since I worked at a vets. But we used to advice white food ie rice chicken white fish ect. I'm not sure about tripe. Apart from a boxer dog that I grew up with had tummy problems and she was fed on boiled tripe and charcoal. Remember the smell to this day
