Birdman seems to think Africa is a country, imo, cuz he's on about how Africa has amazing vets but Sam is likely in a village or something. Sierra Leone does not, sadly, have the veterinary resources that other countries do. That's why I think *he should've gone to one of the rescues that deal with this type of thing and will have an existing relationship with a vet.

She really is so fing dumb its unreal. Most vets know when an animal is past the point of helping, you cannot put these animals through so much trauma , it just isn't fair and you can't compare it to a human going through surgery.

Same, she's went from knowing suffering, to his love and kindness now he's letting her suffer again. It's hard but it's the kindest thing to do.
