lovely to hear your grandson has some memories. I've also worked at a livery yard and they had a stallion. We used to have to bring the stallion to see if the mare was interested. I used to hold the pole (nose twitch) and be in control with another young girl as the stallion did his thing. My YTS teacher that visited went nuts!!! I was only 16 years old 7stone and under 5ft bloody scared me to death the days of smashing water troffs because of the ice and walking across fields to collect ponies is long gone
