I was on venlafaxine for years. The only reason I came off it was my sweats as I get them really bad. I still sweat! So I'd say they did help me
Can I just say, when you are suffering with MH and also a change of meds it's hard for yourself to know what's working and how you feel. For me, specially when having a blip of emotions I didn't know what was helping what made me feel worse what made me feel better. I've been told by a friend that sees a physicists that appointments are changing. Apparently we will see a MH nurse instead and they will relay to the physicists. This gives more time spent with a nurse (plus cheaper) as you only get 15 mins every 4/5 months. She was told this by her CPN.
