I phoned them up and they said they have all the proper consent to film these people. I completely disagree with this. Absolutely disgusting

Surely they should have their attention on the person they're caring for and not gifts flying across the screen

You're paid to look after and interact with the person you're caring for ffs, not let them sit on their own whilst you're on tiktok! 😡

I went in and heard them say that they had their consent to film them. I asked how can that be when it's clear that they are nonverbal and unable to give their consent, I was told their families know and they give consent. This world is fed.

Yeah I can't see many families giving consent, or if they have they've no idea that the person that's caring for their loved one is spending more time watching the phone screen than interacting with the person they're paid to look after!

I'd ask how could you put a formal complaint in. Absolutely disgusting that they are on phones while looking after people. My daughter isn't allowed her phone on her while working. All seems a little odd

I have no issue with them using phones, I have no issue with them even using tiktok, but I sat and watched for 2 minutes whilst the guy looking after the young lad spent most of his time thanking people for gifts whilst the young lad was sat behind him twiddling his thumbs. We're all led to believe they're overworked and underpaid but he found plenty of time to thank for his gifts

I didn't want to go in as it's giving them more traffic and if it wasn't for the views they wouldn't be streaming, but I'm a nosey biatch.
You can tell they're not given the full care they need because the carers are too busy speaking to strangers on an app. It's just sad and I don't like it.

Yeah I saw it, if their families have consented then I don't think they're fully aware of them being filmed from the moment they wake up looking extremely uncomfortable and parked in their chairs until they find a spare minute to deal with their needs. It hurts my heart, but this is sadly the world we live in today. 🥺

Would it be the QCC you'd make a complaint to?

Your mum
Sorry I hadn’t properly updated eveyone. I was sleeping. I did speak to Nolan though. So basically the 17 yr old who is of thin build, decided to down 1 litre of vodka within 30 mins. Threw up and then went to sleep. His friends were all panicking and called for an ambulance. On the phone they was told to throw water on him to see if that would wake him. The ambulance didn’t come till like 4 hours later. They decided to bring him in. They let 2 of his friends ride in the ambulance with him and his friends dad (ex cid) followed in his car as he was picking up my boy and his. The ambulance guys then came to my house and took me to the hospital. I got to ride in the front 😂. The staff was all amazing and I’m so thankful that he was with a sensible group. He’s right as rain this morning and at college 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 he’s only ever had the odd fruit cider before so hopefully this has put him off for life 🙈
