Unfortunately it was "normal" back then. I know a woman whos father used to beat her with a belt. Looking at him now you would never know.... loving doting grandad that put all his children through college and bought their first homes. Its wild. Makes me feel ill to think what some generations had to endure. Thankfully most of us have broken the cycle.
