Oh the dairy free cheese was awful, I never found one at all that was nice. A lot of cheaper supermarket brand items I found didn't contain dairy, however it really depends on the severity of the intolerance. The free from items are made so no cross contamination. However normal foods have that risk even if the ingredients don't list dairy.

Quite a severe intolerance then, must of been awful as a child. Now supermarkets do have a huge range of Free From and Vegan options for less severe intolerance. I think my daughter was lucky, hers wasn't as severe as I had read about some on the support groups. She could handle foods that came with risk of cross contamination. But still to this day send her off in shop to pick yoghurts and she always picks alpro ones.This is meI've had it since I was a baby which my mum said all them years ago was a nightmare. I don't drink milk, don't eat yoghurts etc. By the age 7 I think my mum said I was ok and my mum started introducing it into my diet, now I'm an adult and after I've had my kids it's went all the way back
