I had a look at this earlier, it reads as each parent gets fined for a child missing 5 days. If they miss another 5 days, each parent is again fined, but double. If there is another unauthorised absence within 3 years they should receive other action - parenting order or court.

So it seems max 2 fines within a 3 year period before further action is considered - I would have been carefully considering if New York to sit around a hotel/Target with a child who doesn't seem to understand what is going on was worth wasting one of my fines on personally. Over the next 3 years, there may be more pressing reasons to take her out, who knows. But no foresight at all. No wonder she filtered her comments lol
