Also, just to edit…. Adding ‘newafterhacking’ to a username is REALLY going to turn brands off from working with you if they know you’re not going to be a liability.

The other day she linked her email address (Yahoo) and asked people to email her so she could add them that way. I reckon the hacker got the email address and obviously sent her the link for hacking. I wish it was the beg that got hacked, she’d have to start from scratch. I don’t have TT but if an account is hacked, does it normally get reinstated or do you have to start brand new?The worry now is (I’m not worried… I couldn’t care less but as an FYI to everybody), what’s to stop them hacking her email address now. We know she has no security on that either. God knows what private information is on there. Her bank may even get hacked next. She clearly doesn’t have any BASIC level of security so nothing to stop them going further. They already have her email address and have likely pinged her location and obtained other information too like her IP and UID address

Depends on lenient they are tbh. They’ll be able to see on their side that someone logged in from a new device and a new location and automatically changed the username which throws up all sorts of red flags. Most companies would give it back but isn’t TikTok Chinese? I doubt they give a do!
