Definitely not bashing at all when I mention it. My son is gaming mad, that is his safe space in his room gaming. I have to give him plenty of warning and reminders like a countdown and set times we have to do things to be ready when we make any sort of plans to do any other activities. If we've had a busy few days with social activities especially around Christmas then i give him as much time as he wants on his PC or xbox to decompress and recover. I also allow him a screen at mealtimes with headphones due to sensory issues. My issue with her is for the last 2 years it seems that is all he's had. She seems to dismiss everything about him mentioned I.e learning makaton to help him communicate, nopes he isn't able to learn that. And when he does approach her while she's filming and you can see he's trying to communicate and she ignores him or brushes him off. Same when mentioned on here about the picture cards to help, that video where they suddenly appeared in her bathroom and she touches them to show them off yet they weren't in the last video she filmed in there. Same with the dog toy saga. She knows best doesn't matter that these cheap toys made in China are not safe for humans. Oh you wouldn't give your dog something harmful, no not intentionally however dog items and human items are not tested in the same ways.
I totally understand the need for ipads and other devices and the good and comfort they can bring neurodivergent children. You can see that M is a sensory seeker and I truly believe she could be doing a lot more for him than ignoring him for validation off strangers on the internet and I do think she uses it for lazy parenting. But like I said I don't think that's every parents reason for allowing unlimited screentime.

as much as mine drive me mad I love when they are in and home. Sitting on live for 6 hours solid, getting your mum to pick them up and deal with them unreal. Now I get some parents do need to get the grandparents to pick them up because they are out WORKING a full shift and can't get away. Nor because you are sitting on a live for 6 HOURS straight. Now get if she only had the meeting and was worried she would not get home in time since L gets out later on a Monday.
