She's a complete and utter dunderheid!! That poem/essay Welcome To Holland, is about expecting a life with a neurotypical/non disabled child (Italy). Holland represents the neurodivergent/disabled child and the writer is trying to say, yep this isn't what you were expecting but hey Holland is just as amazing as Italy with it's windmills and tulips etc. But of course that fing cockwomble has to turn everything about M into a negative!! See I get from the poem itself that yeah we can feel a bit sad about diagnosis but life in Holland can still be wonderful. Maybe because I tend to be a more positive person and that's what I took from it. All the huns aswell grieving for what their children may not get to experience.
