Yes ! He was very young for an autism diagnosis. My lad was 7 before he got his.although we know much earlier.
How old was M ? 2/3 ? Some of the issues at that age can’t be distinguished from normal behaviour surely. Children mature at at different rates. I think M biggest issue seems to be his communication . There is clearly difficulties there.but one difficulty does not necessarily indicate autism. He obviously loves his iPad . I wonder if there isn’t apps on there that can be used to help a child find a way to “talk” . It would be very time consuming but the rewards would be massive.
As I say ,just observations. Sometimes you can see clearer from the outside.
