On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Vladimir Putin is touring JSC CITO, one of Russia's leading companies in the medical industry and rehabilitation equipment manufacturing

The President was shown the prosthetics manufacturing floor, the fitting and gait training room, and the kinesiotherapy and gait diagnostics room.

Vladimir Putin has also spoken with servicepeople who saw action in the special military operation and are currently undergoing treatment and rehabilitation at the company's medical facility.

JSC CITO includes over 11,000 square metres of production facilities and 275 units of state-of-the-art equipment. The company manufactures a wide range of individual rehabilitation equipment. JSC CITO extensively uses of in-house components, and covers over 30 percent of the Russian market's demand for medical equipment, offering competitive domestically produced goods.

The company operates an on-site medical advisory and rehabilitation centre providing a barrier-free environment and boasting cutting-edge equipment, some of it AI-based.

JSC CITO is a leading force in manufacturing high-tech prosthetics for servicepeople participating in the special military operation. Since 2022, the company has produced over 5,000 prosthetic limbs.

The President toured the L.I. Shvetsova Scientific and Practical Centre for Medical and Social Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons

Among other things, Vladimir Putin was shown rooms for exercise therapy, verticalisation and gait training, social and psychological rehabilitation of children, as well as heat and water therapy. The President also examined the swimming pool area and saw one of the in-patient wards.

The centre has created a comprehensive system for providing support to disabled persons that includes a full range of medical, social, and professional rehabilitation services.

Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the initiative of the Turkish side

The leaders had a thorough discussion of the dramatic escalation of events in Syria.

Vladimir Putin emphasised the need to put an end to the terrorist aggression against the Syrian state by extremist groups and to fully support the efforts by the legitimate authorities aimed at restoring the stability and constitutional order across the entire country, in particular using the capabilities possessed by Turkiye in the region.

To that effect, the leaders spoke in favour of strengthening cooperation both in the bilateral Russia-Turkiye relations and within the Astana process. They also noted that it was crucial for Russia, Turkiye, and Iran to closely coordinate their steps in the future in order to normalise the situation in Syria.

Both presidents intend to continue their engagements in order to search for solutions to de-escalate the crisis.

A range of current issues pertaining to the further development of Russia-Turkiye mutually beneficial cooperation were also addressed, with an emphasis on trade, economy, and energy.

Vladimir Putin met with State Secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus Dmitry Mezentsev at the Kremlin

Their talks were conducted as part of the preparations for the meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State to be held in Minsk on Friday, December 6.
