When she was initially taken in the Consultant told us she was suffering with Aphasia which affected both speech and communication, she was there but she wasn't taking much in. We were waiting for a while to see what next steps would be and pushed so hard for rehab and thankfully had a bit of speech before they moved her, she's a lot better than she was, we've got speech to a degree and she's managing to lift her own food (she still has her meals cut up, they have lots of volunteers who help, it only has two wards as its mostly a day hospital for outpatients) she isn't managing to get herself up/washed/dressed etc yet but is able to stand with aids for a short while, some walking but not much. She's still with us which is the main thing, days went by not knowing when that phone may ring.
Some people in here have been support than some of my own family (that's why some ex members still have a piece of my heart , I'm looking at you Chomp if you still read here) Chomp reached out so much when I was going through something I wouldn't put on my worst enemy x
