My eldest is a one to one to a little boy with autism, paid minimum wage 🥺 it's shocking as she also prepares for the day and has to do that in her own time. Having her in the class room has not just benefited the child but also the whole class and teacher. It's just sad that her worth isn't included in her wage
When I was a carer working for Bupa I used to get £6.80ph minimum age ....to clean vomit, spit, diarrhea on 12 hrs shifts....it was a hard job, I worked on a dementia unit, we never had enough staff on it was pretty horrific tbh...the youngsters nowadays would never put up and graft like it....or do they?
