When I was younger I had a little growth on my finger, it was sore so Mum took me to the GP, must have been 6/7 at the time, he looked at it and said that's coming off today (that's when GP's still performed minor things and didn't have to wait a year to see a Consultant than another year for the operation)

I was sting myself, I watched him stick the needle in to numb my finger and watched as he sliced (they kept telling me not to look, I was a kid and wanted to see it 😂 ) few butterfly stitches and jobs a gooden. He was an awesome GP, actually only retired a few years ago but I never forgave him for it, and the only reason I never forgave him was because he gave me a little bag of DOLLY fING MIXTURES for being brave. We still laughed and joked about it for years and once he gave me a little bag of cola bottles as a gesture (that was YEARS later!)
