I didn't think the police declined Claires law applications, although I can understand it as I'm not in any immediate danger as I'm not in a relationship with my daughters dad anymore, I mainly wanted to know what happened in his past if he tries and makes contact about her but they did say I can reapply if he wants to pursue custody.
Obviously the fact the relationship wasn't the most positive, to put it nicely, is enough to keep her away from him but I like being fully informed about things if that makes sense
