I don't want to start a fight but I do know what you mean by the Jews supporting Zionism. My friends explained it to me, as much as they don't support the genocide of innocent people Zionism to them is their whole belief system that the holy book they worships promises them that Jewish people will return to Isreal and something about a buried temple.
Personally I think the word Zionism is being used in the same way that Hamas are being described as terrorists. I don't think either name for either party is acceptable.
