Fully aware every area is different, but here in that s hole “Up North” (North West specifically) there is a huge shortage of council houses or housing association (as they are here now). Women from my hairdressers split with her bf, his house, she was technically homeless with 2 kids one who is blind & has developmental delays so she was classed as a higher priority. Spent a week in a B&B paid for by the council & she was then moved into a HMO, all 3 living on one room for about 3 months until she was given a HA property in an area you probs wouldn’t chose to live. No longer walking distance from schools & family but it was a home so she accepted (sure you can only refuse one or two properties).

She’s put herself into this position but she has do all clue where she we’ll end up. She should be ashamed of herself. But she won’t, it will be everyone else’s fault.
I’d be embarrassed if I couldn’t put a roof over my kids heads, especially if every man & their dog had seen my arsehole yet I was still skint.

She wants the section 21 as then it’s a “no fault” eviction so she can ask to be housed. Unfortunately housing is so limited currently that the council won’t do anything until bailiffs have arrived. They will spend the time between the issuing of the section 21 and the court dates for bailiffs trying to encourage her to rent privately with help from the council for the deposit as a loan scheme (I work in an area connected to housing). If she refuses to do that - which to be fair to her, she probably can’t afford to as rent prices have increased so much, she will be in temporary housing for up to two years.

Imagine being this damaged mentally that you put yourself and your kids through this stress just for the rush of being involved in the drama. She's admitted herself she chases the argument for a "dopamine hit" but this is a new low, wilfully getting you and your kids evicted. She's a disgrace.

I suspect on this occasion it’s less the need for drama driving it and more for finances. She’s rented that house for years and is paying minimal rent way below market value. It’s too small for the kids - they need to not be sharing by time eldest is 10 which isn’t far away. The rental market has changed so much that properties are going almost as soon as they hit the market and are double the price that they used to be within the last 12 months. A quick search on Rightmove for a three bed property within 1 mile of Dunstable bought up an ex council property, very basic three bed £1600 pcm with an income of 45k needed per year.

So she either has to move with Dan and lose all her UC and be back as a couple on paper or she has to stay where she is and make do and save some money. Unfortunately she isn’t earning enough to save plus buy her fake tan and yellow sticker food, so is hoping by creating a drama she will get the section 21 and be housed. Which won’t happen.

Now of course if she’s earning as much as she professes to earn on OF then that 45k income per year would be no trouble would it now….?

Why is she wanting a section 21 eviction notice to be served to her? It makes no sense why you would ask for that and then criticise the landlord for not serving it. She does realise she has the option to leave without it reaching eviction? She just wants to fight and create drama rather than considering there is a more peaceful way to go about things. Why wait for the notice to be served and cause yourself unnecessary stress? She thrives off it. It's so sad.
It'll be because she wants to get social housing and will have to have been made homeless. I'm so here for this next 'journey', even if she eventually gets housed in a three bed new build she'll still moan about everything! I already feel sorry for her potential new neighbours, god help them.

She’s 1000% after a section 21 purely so the council will house her. She must really have high hopes to think she will bag herself anywhere or anything remotely to what she has now. I’ve known someone to be in a B&B for 18months with their children and still no closer to a council home.

She needs to remember that the council ‘may’ have a duty to house her, but they could literally give her 1 room in a shared house for all 3 of them to sleep. They could house her miles away even 🤷🏽‍♀️ she absolutely hasn’t thought this through and thinks she’s going to come out of the s smelling of roses…. Unfortunately not always the case KK! And to put your ‘additional needs’ child (and cheese too) the stress of moving home, being made homeless, potentially balliffs turning up to reclaim the property is shameful.

This is the current situation in a large North West town. I’ve obviously chopped bits of personal information out.

Totally agree, I know of an elderly gentleman who is in his 80s and battling cancer only last month was declared homeless and council funded for 2 weeks in a travel lodge his family had to fund the rest and the family along with his social workers have just managed to get a private rent flat as council was going to put him miles away from family , council properties are hard to come by these days, but she definitely wants that section 21 so council will sort her, good luck there KK

It's like that all over at the moment, even being put up in hotels and travel lodges you have to foot bill yourself, so if she's thinking free little holiday she's In for a shock, she should of kept her mouth shut as going to find herself a woman and I use that term lightly a woman in her 30s🤭 with 2 kids 1 with additional needs homeless, aren't you so glad you made all that money for selling yourself to give your kids a better life 🤣 ,with all that extra money you should be able to buy somewhere or put a deposit down on a rental, but I'm guessing since your still claiming benefits you aren't making anywhere near what you've said, I also think you need this section 21 for council to rehouse you as most likely you have bad credit and can't get anything else on your own, but apparently we're all jealous a cups 🤭🤭

Can you all imagine her rants and stories when she’s cooped up in a B&B with the kids running riot, Dan possibly miles away from where she’s based so not able to ‘pop in’ whilst she’s trying to do her pics for OF whilst crammed into a small hotel/B&B/shared house 🤣🤣 I’m here for it KK. Nothing short of what you deserve 👌🏼
It might make her a couple of quit with the poverty porn.
