In my opinion Ste is a victim of Lou's coercive controlling behaviour!! I know he's not all good but he does seem to accept his part in things. Lou never accepts that anything is her fault

This!He’s racist and homophonic. But just like with the drug situation (apparently started drugs aged 9 which I can completely believe) it’s like being a product of an environment and growing up with less than liberal parents will result in that kind of attitude. Lou’s proved time and time again what she does with her money and now look at how Ste was OFFERED money (after saying he’ll go ask his mum by the way), offered advice on what to get and took it ALL on.
Even if he fs up tomorrow or next week/month/year presently he seems to be trying to make an active change in his life which as a society would be great if we could support. We tried with Lou at the start remember? But she made us all bitter, there are people out there that can be helped and just to spite Lou, I hope Ste is one of them!

Lou is still denial/lying about how she got where she is. Ste understands how he is where he is, has some insight into how to move on, but still fs up and is going back to prison. This will hopefully mean the end of him and lou, cos they're no good for each other. The last few days have exposed Lou as a lying, conniving, controlling little cow. Added to lazy, deluded, LAZY LAZY LAZY. and dirty. i think he knows that some of the comments are banter. he always chuckles when he reads "hello blue eyes" for example. in my opinion, he enjoys the advice and being able to give his side of things... because he actually answers our questions, he gets praised and i think he enjoys the praise.
i would love to see him get shot of lou and get back into construction again, as others have said, he genuinely seems interested in bettering himself. that doesn't excuse his past, but i do find it a redeeming quality of his, despite his views on various things. Lou on the other hand, isn't redeemable at all, she has no wish to better herself and gives off a sense of entitlement which riles me.
