That’s so unfair ! I’m glad she got the help tho this year and I hope she knows how proud of herself she should be.My daughter has it too, diagnosed at 16 after primary and high school fobbing her off with ‘slow processing’. They should have gave her extra time for her 4th year exams but marked her as not needing it.
She absolutely aced this year with extra help and finally the extra time after she was formally diagnosed. Wee scone 🫶

Why don’t you go buy him figures from the things he watches? And he might start to imaginative play? That’s what we did! And now my little girl plays with the figures and dancing them along the table lol she also lines them up and no one is allowed to touch them! But she’s still playing in her own way
She’s a disgrace as a mother
When my son was slightly younger than Max, he had delayed speech.I got him a wooden dolls house, as he showed slight interest at the weekly centre attended before he began nursery. It had little wooden figures and furniture. I set it up in living room and didn't even look at it. So if he was on his tablet or playing with other toys, I would sit and play with it myself for 10 minutes or so. Eventually he started playing with his cars and trains next to me and then one day he played in his own way with it, took all the furniture and figures out and lined his cars and trains up in the rooms and chatted away in his own little language that he had. With some children playing doesn't always come naturally to them and they need to be guided. I know the nursery my children both attended is child led play based and this doesn't work for every child as some do need a bit more adult input and guidance especially if they're left with an iPad all day every day.

This!! I remeber the health visitor trying to to led based play and I said oh no we do things like this..
And took her stupid blocks she was trying to build up into a tower and I started throwing them up in the air and shouting catch me… then grabbing them! She looked at me like I was crazy then my little one came over and started doing the same throwing them up and letting them fall!
She said oh you taught me something today! Cause my child was not interested in her building a tower pish hahhaha
