Won’t quote but it was said ( staying detached’ which is important) is I think as well but the target of deliberately targeting things they know/think will affect you is why it’s atrocious and also why a lot slip up quite quickly or cross over into other aspects such as being racist/ableist/transphobic/etc. Also positions of power are craved by them or they crave notoriety/public status so that they can put on a facade and then draw in more people to target.
