I follow a guy that has been diagnosed with this and he tells stories of what he put his wife through. It is horrendous and he said he fights every day not to be that person anymore.I didn't know it was a mental disorder

exactly, last year my sister and I sat for 8 days watching our mum die..it was heartbreaking and I'd never get used to watching that, I do however feel it was a privilege to be able to be there
