The financial manipulation on the app is disgusting , I see it every day `get rid of the gifts` but many don't realise Tiktok won't , without the gifts TT bring in hardly any income , advertising in China is totally different to the UK ,compared to a platform like META who bring in such a huge income from ads alone , more than enough to keep it afloat.

The thing that really bothers me is that most of the people who are being manipulated have no other source of socialising, some have no family, friends or ill health has them house bound, I've watched these people be sucked in by so many creators who couldn't give a s about them. Many of these people are lonely and feel they are accepted and valued by gifting strangers on an app. There's gifers who gift out of enjoyment but then there's gifters that will give their last penny, just so they feel part of something- and that's what doesn't sit right with me.

As someone who had a problem but now has been gamble free for the past year, I can really see how some people would get addicted to this gifting malarkey. Getting sucked in, wanting Ur fave creator to win the battles, it would be a mad rush. Instead of getting any winnings U would be getting Ur kicks from the creator calling u out for Ur input

100% , they gift to see their names flick on the screen and get a `thank you` for it , they then feel wanted , it's interaction for them. It will never sit right with me , look at DG , Dorans etc , all on holiday yet again , some of their gifters probably don't have enough money for a loaf of bread
