Just filmed a report for TV this evening on the cost of food and the current poverty crisis facing millions of people in the UK. I hope ‘the Government are either ignorant or incompetent, but neither are particularly ringing endorsements for running the country’ makes it in! 👊

I did a panel talk some years ago now and my position on it was ‘I don’t like makeup, it’s not for me’ and boy oh boy have I never been happier to be so utterly WRONG. 15 minutes. Same lighting. No filters or edits. IT’S SHEER WITCHCRAFT AND I ADORE IT. (See you soon, Cambridge!)

R to @ArielAnderssen: It’s really not filtered, it’s just good lighting and portrait mode on the iPhone (which I used for both photos, so it’s a fair comparison.) I don’t know why you people are so obsessed with this villain narrative but it’s really rather tedious. I would gently argue that seeing as I took the photo, I’d have the casting vote as to the exact specifics of it…

R to @ArielAnderssen: It’s just portrait mode. Here’s another from the same set, also *just* in portrait mode. Makeup can and does ‘do this’. A LOT of makeup, carefully applied, but that’s literally what it does. Magic stuff, it’s only taken 35 years to manage to wield it with any degree of usefulness

I don’t edit photos these days, haven’t done for a long time, pretty neutral about my face so don’t see the need. Glad my makeup skills are banging tho, what a compliment!
