Vladimir Putin signed the Federal Law On Veteran Status for the Volunteers Involved in the Special Military Operation in Ukraine

According to the law, veterans and veterans with disabilities will include persons conscripted, by the decision of Russian government bodies, to the volunteer troops assisting with the missions of the Russian Armed Forces during the special military operation in Ukraine, the DPR and the LPR since February 24, 2022, and on the territories of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions since September 30, 2022.

The new multi-purpose Project 22220 nuclear-powered icebreakers, built at the Baltic Shipyard in St Petersburg for the Rosatom State Corporation, are the largest and most powerful in the world.

We continue to enhance the CSTO's Collective Rapid Reaction Force, the air force and peacekeeping force, including regular exercises and maintaining their combat readiness.

Russia supports the decision to equip the CSTO peacekeeping force with modern weapons, military and special-purpose equipment and devices.

The talks between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Sochi created a good foundation for reaching a compromise on the principled issues of the settlement in the South Caucasus.

The situation in Afghanistan remains complicated. It is important to continue intensive efforts to promptly expose threats of terrorism, extremism and drug crime, and to neutralise these threats through joint special operations and response actions.
