Alfie was 18 the whole time she will have been 14 and turned 15 whilst they spoke

Wait if Alfie was 17 when he first started talking that must have been at latest 20th August 2018

So on that date, if he was 17 when they first started talking, she had only just turned 14 in the may 3 months before?

If Alfie is correct and they spoke a year previously to the messages shown, he was 1 month shy of 18. But she was 14, if he's correct.
