IMO. The only way Angie will get any help is if her sister or mum have her sectioned under the MH act. Then she can be assessed by the professionals & maybe sent to rehab as part of her rehabilitation??
I also think maybe she is still grieving her dad& I couldn't imagine how awful that feels. I know I'm NOT looking forward to my dad dying
SO I do sympathise with her there.
She may need some counselling/therapy to help her come to terms with that.
I feel that cutting herself is definitely for attention. However, God forbid, she may go too far one day & unalive herself. IF she is on medication & drinking all of that wine, her kidneys/liver or both must be ruined so she could really benefit from a test. I think she's looking so old these days. She doesn't look well.

It’s not as easy as that to have someone sectioned these days. Unless it’s voluntary, they have a big job to prove she’s a danger to herself or others. Superficial SH wouldn’t be grounds to be sectioned. If she refuses to engage there is little they can do. Until she does something that would get her arrested, then they can request it, IF she continues with her wild behaviour in cells, but I doubt she would.
She’s in complete denial of her alcohol problems, and I doubt she’ll change that any time soon.
