Not new to Vav but new to this thread. One thing I want to comment on is how badly she's failing Max. My 17 year old was exactly like Max. He has CP. He was non verbal. He has a sight impairment and has an intellectual disability.
Those early days were hard. I was 20 and out of my depth but I spent every day trying to get him to improve. I hired a play specialist, I paid to have him in a specialist communication nursery. I took him out which yes was hard because he'd have meltdowns but you know what I had to. I didn't have anyone to pawn him off to. He's now 17, relatively independent, talking and in a school that suits his needs.
I'm sorry she makes my blood boil and don't even start me on the introducing him to strange men

I feel so sorry for Max more and more each day. Look how gentle she was with that dog and so softly spoken. Poor Max gets flung about and she screams into his face. Her facial expressions when he makes a wee sound while shes videoing her sour gob.
