What I think she fails to understand is that its actually a luxury that she will be able to spend the whole summer holidays with her daughter.
For the working parents of young children, it’s something we could only wish for.
Me and my husband have had to carefully allocate our annual leave at work so that either one of us is off work for a few days during the holidays, just to try and save money because for a lot of the holidays we are having to put the twins in to a holiday club while we are at work. I actually dread the summer holidays because
1)the amount of money we will have to pay for holiday club
2)getting annual leave from work for the summer holidays is hard as everyone wants time off
3)the guilt I feel because we aren’t able to take a lot of time off work to spend quality time with the twins during summer
Trying to get annual leave during the school holidays is a massive stress
