To note: our social care system is in a huge mess. It’s unlikely in England that any adult with LD will have somebody managing their budget unless it’s family.

I have both professional and personal experience with this and you're 100% correct. Social care often won't even let you manage their budget without a POA usually

Well usually - there’s at least 1 person that isn’t in on thr “plan” if there is one. Like there will be one or more victim / butt of the joke / collateral damage. But this just feels like people that don’t like each other lol
