R to @SouthLondonGirl: Very rarely. Always expected it to be the way it is (both boys). Would have been very happy and grateful either way, but this way seems very natural and I had no need or desire to keep going in the hope of changing it.
R to @MarkBillingham: I’ve never heard of this happening, ever. But I can also understand if people are broke, that everyone chipping in an equal amount would be helpful / fair? It’s a huge expense for people to host, especially during tough times.
R to @SouthLondonGirl: It definitely does to me, yep. I also find the implication that two of the same sex = the same person, another of a different sex = “something different” very, very weird. My boys adore one another, but they’re nothing alike. Meanwhile, I am very, very like one of my brothers.
