Vladimir Putin and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko took part via videoconference in a ceremony to launch a wintering complex of the Vostok station in Antarctica
The Vostok station was established in 1957 at 3,500 metres above sea level on Antarctica’s ice dome. The new wintering complex consists of five modules with a total area of over 3,000 square metres, providing comfortable living conditions for up to 15 people during the winter period and up to 35 seasonal specialists.

Visiting SKA Arena in St Petersburg
Vladimir Putin and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko visited the multifunctional sports and concert centre SKA Arena in St Petersburg.
With a seating capacity of 21,500, SKA Arena is the largest roofed ice sports arena in the world and can hold more than 20 sports competitions.

Meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Russia and Belarus. Vladimir Putin's statements:
Legal and organisational foundations of the common economic space have been developed, and conditions have been created to pursue a unified macroeconomic and monetary policy within the Union State of Russia and Belarus.
Over the last 11 months of 2023, mutual trade grew by almost 9.5% and approached a record $43 billion.
Russia and Belarus interact closely on the world stage. Our countries’ approaches to current global and regional issues coincide or are largely similar.
The Union State's activity in 2024-2026 is mainly aimed at further enhancing cooperation in industry, agriculture, energy, transport, logistics and information.
A new strategy for the scientific and technological development of the Union State until 2035 has been drafted, containing specific steps to strengthen common technological sovereignty.

During the meeting, Vladimir Putin took part, via videoconference, in a ceremony to launch social facilities in the Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics and in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions
The facilities include the Donetsk Regional Orthotics and Prosthetics Centre, the multi-functional medical centre under the Federal Medical and Biological Agency in Mariupol, a residential building in Lugansk, and the Melitopol Multidisciplinary College dormitory.
