The leaders have expressed their satisfaction of how constructive Russia-Turkey relationship remain and have reaffirmed their willingness to pursue close cooperation. They have also discussed several current bilateral and international issues, including the dangerous escalation in the Middle East.

Additionally, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin have confirmed the arrangement for holding a separate bilateral meeting between them on the sidelines of the upcoming BRICS summit in Kazan.
