R to @BootstrapCook: If the idea that someone may not have a can opener makes you SO angry that you make up conspiracy theories about a budget food writer, maybe channel that rage into purchasing a few for your local food bank instead of sitting on Twitter being an asshole to someone trying to help.

R to @KeithSwinburne: It’s no more dangerous than chopping vegetables with the same knife. You don’t stab at it in a frenzy, just carefully tap it in the top around the edge.

R to @aahutch: A few people have said this. So at least something good comes out of all this nonsense I guess x

R to @jamesbgalbraith: People object that I’m still breathing, I’m sure.

R to @smallpersonn: I’m not suggesting people buy a hammer ~instead of~ a tin opener. That’s quite the reach.

R to @smallpersonn: I’ve lived in rented accommodation for 18 years, and I’ve had my grandfathers old hammer for a lot of that time. Very useful for assembling crappy flat pack furniture, stashing under the bed to feel safe alone at night, and opening tin cans in an emergency. 🔨

R to @Grimblepinch: Using a hammer or knife for ~anything~ can be potentially dangerous, so yes, you do need to take care with both.

I appear to be trending on Twitter again. I shan’t look - I suspect it’s the usual - but if y’all could like or retweet the linked tweet so it overtakes the nonsense, I (and my mental health) would be very grateful. Cheers!

R to @MarkD_H: Not everything is for everyone. I’m autistic, a bit obsessive, I like round eggs, that’s not important for everyone, and that’s fine. They’re suggestions, not rules.

R to @JamesKennedyUK: That takes time and effort, James. (And I should know: I’ve been doing it for a decade!) Far easier to make an anonymous Twitter account and call someone a ‘grifting c*nt’ than tackle systemic injustice…

R to @FunnyByGaslight: ‘Mental health professional’ proudly bullying someone who publicly struggles with their mental health. It’s an excellent look on you, Claire.
