R to @BootstrapCook: Also anyone new to 12 step recovery, if you’d like any books, I’ve got multiples of all of them and would be happy to pop some in the post if you’d like them. Drop me an email as my DMs are a trash fire at the best of times, and I’ll ping a list over of what I’ve got spare. 🥰

R to @BootstrapCook: I’m going to be decluttering a LOT over the coming weeks and months, I’ll probably start a separate thread as and when I get going, so keep your eyes peeled for clothes, shoes, cooking equipment, cutlery, crockery, books, craft stuff, makeup, toiletries, journals, everything. 🥰

R to @SaneRemain: I’m really enjoying it actually. Lots of the big stuff has gone to homes where it’s been badly needed and greatly appreciated, and it feels really good to be able to be a part of that. 🥰

R to @BootstrapCook: I’ve always weirdly been happier with less stuff and small spaces - got caught up trying to fill a long poverty-hangover hole with Things (after selling literallly everything I owned in 2012)…and it’s just stressful to live with. New home, new start, new focus on what matters.

R to @Jackson_Longson: I mean, I do try my best to be a decent human being. I don’t always manage it, but anyone who’s followed me for any period of time won’t see this as a superhero origin story tweet. It’s just what I do.

R to @Mrs_Schwarzski: I probably should have been clearer that the knife I used was a Swiss Army style knife, but a screwdriver also works!

R to @arfur_ascii: I don’t have OnlyFans, so if someone’s impersonating me on it, I hope they’ve at least gone to the trouble of doodling my tattoos in the right places. Plus the requisite ‘condom full of walnuts’ body type, arthritic fingers, distended ribs, and two big toes that look like dicks.

R to @Jackson_Longson: Ah that would be the episode where Michael Portillo told me that I shouldn’t have had a child and was an unfit mother, on national television. You’d have been a model of grace and serenity in the same scenario, I’m sure.

R to @BootstrapCook: And he based that on the fact I wasn’t married (!) and wrong assumption that I was unemployed when I had my son. Neither are reasons to vilify parents, by the way. He deliberately humiliated me to score a cheap point, so I retaliated. Sorry you didn’t enjoy it; *I* didn’t either.

R to @garethclw: Well it’s packed in a box now, otherwise I’d photograph the label and send it to you with my middle finger exquisitely extended just beneath it. What sort of conspiracy theory bollocks circle of hell do you have to be in to disbelieve someone saying ‘this jacket was from Tesco’

R to @BootstrapCook: But here’s an identical one on eBay. Two sizes smaller than mine unfortunately, or I might have been tempted to have it as a spare. Every little helps!

R to @blackcuntrybird: Not all of them do, no, hence the words ‘Swiss army STYLE knife’.

R to @CarlosQX: The UK is literally ‘a survival situation’ for millions of people right now, Carlos.

R to @nick_earlski: Careful there, you’ll get the conspiracy accounts onto you if you challenge their twisted little soap-opera-villain narrative. Can’t have anyone who actually knows me IRL throwing pesky facts around, this is Twitter 🤣

R to @_AnnaBlight: (I’m hoping to put one at my new place if the landlord permits it - there are some strict covenants in the contract about the gardens and I think the front one counts as a communal area. But I’ll ask in case they’re amenable to it 💕)

R to @salmichelle: Yeah. The reason I read bloody ebooks now is because I don’t have space for any more physical books and have known for a while we’ll be moving somewhere smaller. Plus about 95% of those 42 boxes were GIFTED FROM OTHER WRITERS because that’s literally what publishers do, Stephen.

R to @IreneSc10551404: I have done with the official books (all my HGs do books for newcomers as standard) but these are more like step 10 journals, recovery workbooks, book study notes, ESH, additional resources. Group conscience/tradition 7 combined means they can’t really be handed out at meetings.

R to @BootstrapCook: They’re not instead of the official literature, more like extra toolbox tools to help people who might need a bit of structure/assistance to start to practise healthy daily disciplines like gratitude, inventory, prayer, journaling…

R to @BootstrapCook: Having ASD & ADHD means I really struggled to pin all that stuff down at first without clear prompts; more experienced fellows (and my old therapist, who specialised in ADHD) gave me a pile of useful books and journals to help - so I’m just passing on what was freely given. 💕
