R to @BootstrapCook: How on earth this got through legal when this isn’t an opinion piece, (where you can potentially lie with impunity and few consequences) it’s presented as a fact. Yikes. And the association with Linekers wealth, I adore him, but I’m closer to homelessness than I am to Gary, sorry

R to @BootstrapCook: I mean, I literally write budget recipes for your newspaper. This is absurd, dishonest, and a frankly astoundingly rude way to treat a colleague.

Looking forward to the equally prominent ‘clarifications and corrections’ amendment.

I’m so unbelievably tired of this nonsense.

R to @BootstrapCook: And lastly, when I finally AM a millionaire because all you libellous ss will have literally manifested it for me at the rate you’re going, I’ll still make 30p recipes. Because I enjoy it, I’m good at it, and people find it useful. I’ll just maybe do them with some nicer pans.

R to @BootstrapCook: Oh and I’m not angry about Lee Anderson’s recipes either. I’m occasionally mildly annoyed because he’s a weaselly bullying turncoat, fundamentally dishonest, libellous, and seemingly fing obsessed with me. Budget recipes are useful right now. Spouting bollocks is less so.

R to @princess_knicks: Yeah I didn’t use either of these websites, funnily enough, my screenshot is from a news article. (And both of those estimates are wildly wrong, about £3m and £75m wide of the mark respectively)

R to @AngstAHD: I couldn’t give a damn about the chef bit, it’s just inaccurate, but the ‘wealthy’ lie in the context in which these people use it is always a deliberate attempt to position me as dishonest/fraudulent, undermine my work, and incite harassment and abuse. And I’m exhausted.

R to @BootstrapCook: (It’s in the context of the Lee Anderson libel - which is a very clear cut case according to my lawyer - this from Maddox in a puff piece about Anderson is simply additional evidence as to how far and how confidently Anderson’s libellous remarks have spread)

R to @Rolo_Tamasi: No, I’ve stated that a particular writer has repeated a libel, and that the newspaper has chosen to print it unchecked. You’re welcome.

R to @mikemartintweet: Nah, that would have needed a comma. The inference is clear, they won’t be able to wriggle out of it.

R to @SimonRendall3: The ones that repeated Lee Anderson’s libel, without even using quotation marks. Right there.

R to @princess_knicks: We need people to have enough money to live that nobody needs ultra budget recipes, I agree, and have said this for the last decade. I’d love my campaign work to be so effective that my food work is obsolete, but until then, I’ll keep doing the recipes to help people survive this

R to @simonharris_mbd: I mean, the Titanic was pioneering. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t also a literal blundering wreck with ideas above it’s station and scant regard for the lives of those it purported to be serving…

R to @DianeCoyle1859: I’ve been away for a few days and have sorely missed the Sophie updates - and just did an audible SQUEAK of sheer joy seeing that glorious tail up finally in the air and wagging with gusto. Congratulations! 🥳

R to @simonharris_mbd: I’ve got toothache and am barely sleeping with the stress of the move (you know: the downsizing to a one bed flat and sleeping on the couch thing because I seem to have carelessly mislaid my squillions…) so I’m no pulling my punches today 👊

R to @goglentw: I think calmly correcting a lie is quite the opposite of ‘fuelling’ it.

R to @goglentw: I tried that, and their lies just became accepted as truth because I didn’t challenge them. Ignoring it sadly doesn’t work, it just gives them a license to escalate
