Have you been taking them full time for 30 odd years? I don't know if there is evidence of a link anywhere (I'll have to go google) but I know from stories I've been told / heard / read it was common for Drs to prescribe them in the 60s/70s, without knowing the full term side effects , I think it's why Drs have to be so careful with prescribing now.s.

I think it’s different if a specialist signs off on it. GPs can’t sign off on most things like that themselves.
My memory has never been the same and its only been recently that diazapam has been linked to memory loss and dementia. If I could prevent ANYONE from taking them then I would. I've had friends who are afraid of flying and their GP had prescribed them for previous flights, They've begged me to help them by giving them 1 or 2 and I've refused. - I would do anything for my mates but I'd never live with myself if they became dependent on them or ended up with memory problems- along with many other longterm issues.
I can't see Angie seeing a specialist , she seems to be a specialist in everything herself

Kpak 30mg were my old friends. My liver was not badly damaged, not everyone gets that lucky. I was addicted for about 3 years. I was put on a tablet called naltrexone which really helped me to stop the cravings
I remember being offered certain things after the accident , Zopiclone was one of them for short term use , I was petrified of using them , was given 5 and I still have 3 left (They're probably OOD now) just dealing with tramadol alone has been hard enough and my empathy towards those on some of these higher class drugs has never been so strong

Gabapentin is also a bad one. It has a risk of dementia. I suffer terrible brain fog and I think gabapentin is the reason. I do worry about the dementia risk, I have a terrible memory now. But have no other alternative other than severe symptoms. They don't warn you before they prescribe these potentially life altering drugs!!!
I tried getting off it and they gave me zolpidem. I woke up naked covered in sigils with my laptop melted from a pillar candle on the keyboard. The laptop was on my chest, I'd dreamt my cat was missing (i didn't have a cat) and I was doing a spell to bring it back, but it wasn't a dream. I was putting myself at the stake for a cat that didn't exist
A woman of Sheila's age has probably been prescribed them for years. I agree Angie will lie about anything, she's probably been given a 3 day course and now claims she's prescribed them long term.
