The silence of Western governments only begets more violence by the Iranian regime against its own people. While a new generation is finding its voice, injustice stalks the young people of Iran. Diplomacy with a government that is at war with its own people will never be sustainable.

There should be further diplomatic and economic isolation of Tehran. The U.S. and its allies should stop offering a lifeline to the Islamic Republic and give voice to brave reporters like Niloofar and Elaheh.
