R to @bluey_1984: By tweeting false information? And put yourself in my shoes for one moment - every time I say anything on here I get people jumping on me trying to claim that I’m lying, so forgive me if I have very little tolerance left for any of it any more.
R to @bluey_1984: Right fine, it’s hard to tell the difference sometimes, especially when you get as much sustained s on here as I do. Apologies for lumping you in with the rest of them. Have a good evening, let’s all move on. X
R to @VilloLelkes: (That’s not the case. I was just a bit late with some paperwork, because ADHD/addiction/alcoholism/prior trauma around financial dealings with Govt departments/take your pick!)
Part One: Chilli Vinegar. Traditional East London pie and mash shops would use malt vinegar, I went for distilled malt vinegar because it’s what the greengrocer had in and it looks cool with the bits in it. Going to leave this to get nice and spicy in the fridge
R to @BootstrapCook: It’s one large red and one large green chilli, sliced finely, two stalks of curly parsley (they were out of basil ) and two enormous cloves of garlic. Pop the lid out of the vinegar, stuff the bits in, reseal and refrigerate. Simple enough. Now for the rest of it… 🌶
R to @Tintenfische1: No I can’t fecking stand the stuff these days, was gradually going off it but after having Covid I can’t bear it at all. Tastes like laundry soap
R to @CookinAsia: I’m mindful of the Small Boy having slightly less heat tolerance than his mother, I’d have filled that thing right up Many years ago my friend Jack made me a bottle of chilli vodka with 60ish tiny black chillies in - that stuff was absolutely deliciously lethal!!
R to @robinpr71: It’s somewhere between Puck by Little Greene and Duck Green by F&B (One of my friends works in a paint shop, I’ve spent quite some time in there daydreaming lately!)
R to @robinpr71: (As I said, been daydreaming in paint shops a lot recently! Not got the budget nor the cahunas for either one myself - so living vicariously through you on this one! )
The video footage of the Trussell Trust in the Kings Speech is both a fantastic recognition of their essential work, and a heartbreakingly clear indictment of the scale of need for their services.
R to @JonnoHandS: People knocking this seem not to have realised that it’s a £2 token that could be exchanged for almost £5 worth of food + drinks (eg large cappuccino + sausage+bacon roll). I usually advocate a ‘cash first’ approach, but in this situation the cash would actually buy less food.
R to @BootstrapCook: The profit margin on selling food + drinks at a 60% discount is likely to be a loss, once stock, labour, bills, rent, business rates, etc are taken into account (and I like this far better than the ‘ask for X at customer services’ initiatives, for reasons too knotty for Twitter!)
